A Christain Community

So, what is a Christian Community? Well, I can say what it isn’t. It isn’t a bunch of clean-cut men and women with angelic dispositions standing and holding hands and singing Kumbaya. It is a bunch of tired sinners fighting over the best way to serve the Lord and trying to follow the second greatest commandment. They don’t always agree on the best methods, but they do agree on their goal and they dedicate their time and talents toward achieving that goal. In the ideal church they have priests and bishops who not only support what they are trying to do but pitch in and lend a hand as well. Given the wealth of talent that the Lord has graced the world with, they are able to tackle everything from the corporal works of mercy to evangelical outreach. They shoulder their crosses and with their free hands help lift the crosses of those in need. It is the kind of community that doesn’t need to recruit more members, because those that see it want to be a part of it. In a nutshell, that’s it. It’s what the church was meant to be, and what it should be. You decide if that’s what you see.
