My pen name is Nick Anthony, and as a cradle Roman Catholic I have been in and around the church my whole life. For a number of years now I have observed the church with growing disappointment. I perceive a church that seems to have lost its way. A train that has jumped its rails. This has been a thorn in my mind and soul for some time and I finally decided to make my thoughts and comments public, in the hope that I may find others that have similar feelings. I am using a pen name since I believe that my comments if they have value are independent of who I am. The truth if it is truth, stands on its own. Some may not agree or appreciate my comments, and they should choose to ignore them and not read further. Some may agree and should follow their consciences on how to respond or act. I am not trying to start a debate. I am hoping that enough people will see that the church is in need of serious repair as it has been many times in the past. I am hoping that the Lord will raise up the Catholic laity to take a leading role in bringing the repair about. I am uncomfortable with some of the comments I make, but they need to be made. I hesitated to even start this, but as I wrestled with doing this I picked up the daily reading and saw that thousands of years ago Ezekiel saw the same thing and spoke out. It is embarrassing that the Lord’s message doesn’t seem to stick with our human frailties. 

I will publish my comments a few at a time in no particular order as I have generated them at various periods in the last few years and while the theme is the same, they do not convey a continuous story. I may note some calendar times with some comments so you can see possible discontinuities. We have a free will, and make choices. Your choice to agree or ignore.
